Ahem, that's Air Fryer French Fries and they happen in less than 15 minutes!
I had all but given up on making french fries at home. What a mess, and the house would smell like fryer oil for days. I tried oven-baking them, but could never achieve that crispiness that makes fries so delectable! Enter the air fryer. This little powerhouse delivers all that I crave in a fry, and in under 15 minutes. Here's how to make them.
Makes 1 Serving
Prep time 2 minutes
Cook Time 13-14 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 Large russet potato, washed well
1 Tbsp olive oil
Salt (I prefer Diamond kosher salt or Fine sea salt for these.)
PREPARATION:
Cut potato into fries. You can peel the potato or not, it's up to you.
Toss with olive oil.
Place in basket and air fry at 400° Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
Remove from air fryer and turn potatoes, ensuring crispiness on all sides.
Return to air fryer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Salt to taste, and serve immediately. For extra special fries, try tossing with a little Parmesan cheese and truffle oil.
Note: Do not overcrowd the basket. Fries should be spread evenly in one layer to avoid sogginess.
